Elsie Ward, Associate Minister

Elsie Ward, our Senior Minister's wife, is our Education Minister. Born and raised in Georgia, Elsie is still a southern girl at heart. Elsie holds a Bachelor's degree in Christian Education from Atlanta Christian College and a Master's degree in English Secondary Education from North Georgia College.

Professionally, Elsie has served as a private music teacher and public educator. As the Education Minister at First Christian Church, Elsie is responsible for organizing, planning, administering, and promoting the Church's Christian Education program. This includes Bible School, Home Bible studies, and various educational outreach activities.

Besides her duties as Minister of Education, Elsie is involved in music, teaching, speaking to ladies' retreats, and with the youth of our church. She is involved in counseling ladies and teens. Her work with Sweet Victory Choir, a choir consisting of about 50 middle and high school teens, is her passion. Family, Teens, Counseling, and a great desire to please her Lord as she reaches out to a hurting world are the guidelines for her life and ministry.

As with James, we love Elsie and appreciate her dedication to our Lord and our church family.
